Chinese New Year Madness

It has been a crazy start to a new year. James left for Brisbane, working on group presentations untill insane hours of the night, new interesting youtube videos found and prankters right in front of my doorstep.

One of my best friend, James has left for brisbane to persuit his university degree. Another friend who is in another part of the world. (James, take care and enjoyself. Don't party to much and remember to STUDY!) The week before, a group of friends gathered to have a "last meal" before he left.





This week was full of presentations at school. After the CNY break, most engines needed a longer time to start running. Hence, productivity in my group with particularly low. This caused us to work till 2am on wednesday night just to finish our powerslides which were due to thursday. All is not over as I still have another presentations this coming monday and a quiz following the presentation. Stressed!

I learnt some interesting things from youtube this week. I guess my new found knowledge has expanded my understanding of things or, just a good laugh. Just to share.


This video is very science-based. It talks about newtonian fluids. If you are interested, go wiki it to learn more. If not, it is just fun to watch.


This is a Sony Bravia commercial. If you are wondering how they did it, this is done using frame-by-frame video capturing. It is not done using CGI. Cool right? Enjoy~


Lastly, this video is done by a group called "Improv Everywhere". In this video, hundreds of participants invade Grand Central Station and for a couple of minutes, all of them just froze on the spot. Just see the reactions on the public's faces. Maybe if we got enough people, we could repeat this prank in Singapore. Maybe in Orchard Road. It will be really cool.

Today, my extended family gathered at a relative's house to celebrate CNY. We had yu sheng after dinner and it was really chaotic. Too many chopsticks tossing = messy table and flying ingredients.



Sadly, the night ended badly. Upon returning home, my family realised that some one has decided that it was fun to throw a couple bags of sand into my house. I don't know why would someone do such a childish stunt. My family do not have any feuds with others. I do hope it is a one-off incident.
