Buying Food!

The whole house decided to head down to chinatown to have breakfast and to stock up on essential food stuff. I had century eggs and meat porridge which was quite good. After that we went to a chinese supermarket to buy sauces (such as Lee Kum Kee oyster sauce, soya sauce, sesame and cooking oil) and instant noodles. The price were very reasonable compared to the western supermarkets around our house. A surprising find was "Singapore Hot Curry Sauce" by Yeo's. We bought a can and will try it soon. Stay tune.

Later, we headed to Jean Talon market. It is an open market that sells all the fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. The place was crowded with people doing their weekend shopping. The things are cheap like 12 corns for only $3.50 and a bunch of bananas for less than $2. It is very nice to see so many fresh food at a glance of an eye.
